Weigh In...and run?

So all of you know that I weighed myself in today and lord knows that I was not prepared menatlly for that, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I only lost 2 pounds over the last month...Yeah, that is not the best, but I know exactly what I have to do now to reach my goal for the wedding.  No sweets, low carbs (only good carbs from veggies and whole grains), working out twice a day, and obviously limit eating out and eating crap food with friends.

Difference of one pound of fat to one pound muscle...two pounds may not seem like much on the scale, but it sure looks like a lot.
 
I know that over the last month I have definitely toned muscles that hadn't been used in years and also have built up a crazy running endurance.  Today was a crazy day, first day of teaching 5th grade and of course we went on a field trip...nothing like being thrown into the fire.  After work, I got a haircut, Annie and I had a delicious home cooked dinner then being the genius I am I decided to go for a run.  Running after eating stuffed pork chops. WORST IDEA EVER! I felt like I was going to die, but I pushed through and miracuously survived.

This was the first time I have run outside in a couple of weeks, because my Mother has this crazy phobia of me running alone while at school, and I hate running with other people beacuse I am not exactly the fastest girl on the block, so it was really nice to be home and run all alone to clear my head.
 
My lesson for today is DON'T get discouraged by what the scale has to say, be happy with the tangable benefits of toning up, smaller shirts and jeans and of course killer muscles. :)
 
 
Can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for crazy workouts and clean eating!
