This summer has been rough to say the least. I work 50+ hours a week, run, and do boot camp, which really doesn't leave time for much besides sleep. As I strive to find balance I have been finding that I have been hurting more (physically and emotionally). My best friend is in Colorado...not cool. I have to face the fact that my boyfriend has to leave the country for a month come October...not so nice when I have a HUGE race to think about. I leave for school in 26 days and I haven't given school the first thought. Ugh.
I keep making excuses for myself like "tomorrow will be better" "it's okay to skip a workout because you're sore" NO! I need to quit doing this to myself. And every Wednesday I get on the scale and I wonder why my weight is within the same 5 pounds of where I started the summer. I am so disappointed in what I have done eating wise this summer. No my eating isn't horrible, but there are always things that could use some tweaking.
I had a whole list of goals and a chart of workouts to share with you, but as we all know working out isn't the challenge for me....eating is. So I am ditching the goals for the week and returning to a simple one. STOP EATING CRAP!

Country Jam Weekend Recap
This weekend was absolutely amazing!
We went to Eau Claire, WI for Country Jam.Three days with over 15 concerts.
Can you talk about awesome?
I couldn't have imagined spending this weekend without Kenzie and Bails.
When life hands you moonshine...you've got to make moonshine lemonade right?
This was Beth's request for the weekend. While she's living the life in Washington rubbing shoulders with the governments finest I touched a cardboard cutout of her future husband Jake Owen.
Moonshine was the backdrop of our entire weekend.
Luke!
The whole gang!
This weekend was exactly the escape from reality I needed. We didn't really workout, but we did try and eat semi-healthy which I'm sure helped me with only gaining two pounds over the weekend.
Now it's back to reality with the marathon training schedule and clean eating for the next 20 days!
Until tomorrow,

Goals for week 4
I know that I have been doing a sh*t job of keeping up my blog over the summer...but that is going to change.
This weekend was my only three days of vacation for the entire summer, so now that that's over I am ready to refocus and quit eating crap. For the next 21 days I refuse to let myself cheat or have ANY treats. No ice cream, carbs, soda, processed foods, anything. I AM DONE being in the 178-180 range. Legit I am completely over it so now's the time to change.
I promise I will fill you in with all things vacation and weekend related tomorrow morning, but for now it's all about goals.
Here they are. Short. Sweet. And to the point.
I saw this on my run today and thought it was quite fitting. I am sick of making excuses for myself. I am running a marathon, yes, the entire crazy ass 26.2 miles in less than 14 weeks. I cannot do it without being on a strict eating and workout plan.
Here's to the next 14 weeks being better than the last,
C

Weekend Recap
It's Sunday which means I am going to tell you about all of the crazy fun stuff I did this weekend. I hope that everyone had a wonderful and semi-relaxing fourth! I started my fourth with a great hill sprints and main street stair workout with Katie and Bailey of course.
After our workout I worked a shift at the bar and then re-connected with these goons and we grilled a great dinner and caught up on some gossip.
We grilled peppers, onions, chicken patties, and had quinoa chips, salsa, and fresh fruit. So YUMMY!
Last night, Bailey and I went to Bloomington to celebrate a friend of mine's 21st birthday! We had a great time and enjoyed some real Mexican food and even better company.
Today was my rest day and first day off of work in over two weeks...so I slept in and treated myself to a chipotle salad for lunch.
Bails has recently become a mad scientist and has started brewing her own kombucha. Kombucha is a great way to increase your probiotic intake and it is quite yummy! I am so grateful that she has taken on this project and is willing to share her batches with me.
Here's to a great week two for the #smchallenge. Only 11 more weeks and I cannot wait to see where I am at the end of this. I feel so much better after this week alone. I can't wait to see everyone's faces when i get back to school hopefully slimmer than I am now
4:10 plank
Run 12 practice miles + my 10 mile training run on Saturday
Green juice and fiber supplement every day
3 days of non-bootcamp weights (2 arms and 1 leg)
6 servings of veggies a day
1 treat and rest day
-2 pounds this week (CROSS YOUR FINGERS!)
Here's my training plan for the week. I really find this calendar tool helpful! You can print the blank one here.

100 fricken miles
I did it y'all! On day 4 of #smchallenge I hit over 100 miles on the road just in the last month and a half. How crazy and exciting is that?
I can't wait to see how many more I can wrack up before August 24th!
It's a huge weekend ahead of us all! Stay strong with eating and workouts and be sure to have a little bit of extra fun.
Until tomorrow,
C
